The documentary, Head Games, will be showing Thursday, May 9th at the Jim Santy Auditorium. Dr. Allen and Melinda Roalstad will be representing Think Head First during a Question and Answer session that will follow the screening of the movie.
Directed by Steve James and inspired by the events from the book with the same title, HEAD GAMES follows football star, wrestler and the book’s author, Chris Nowinski’s quest to uncover the truth about the consequences of sports-related head injuries. The documentary features interviews with Nowinski, Bob Costas (NBC Sports), Keith Primeau (NHL All-Star), and Cindy Parlow Cone (Olympic Gold Medalist, Women’s Soccer). HEAD GAMES exposes viewers to one of the leading public health issues of our time, raising the question: “How much of you are you willing to lose for a game?”
Think Head First has been in the community for nearly 7 years providing education & consultation expertise for sport organizations in the area of concussion management. “We believe this is a very relevant film, and addresses this topic extremely well,” said Melinda Roalstad.
